9-Day Uganda Gorillas & Maasai Mara Safari

Day 1 – Arrival Entebbe, Uganda
Land in Entebbe. A private driver transfers you to your lakeside hotel. Rest and prepare for the adventure ahead.

Day 2 – Entebbe → Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Board a scenic domestic flight to Kihihi or Kisoro airstrip. Drive into the lush rainforest of Bwindi, home to nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. Overnight at a luxury forest lodge.

Day 3 – First Gorilla Trek in Bwindi
After your briefing, hike through tangled jungle slopes with expert trackers until the moment arrives: a wild gorilla family before you. Spend a profound hour watching them feed, groom, and play. Return to your lodge for a well-earned rest.

Day 4 – Second Gorilla Trek in Bwindi
A different gorilla family, a new terrain, another unforgettable encounter. Each trek is unique, sometimes steep, sometimes gentle — but always life-changing. Afternoon at leisure to enjoy the rainforest setting.

Day 5 – Bwindi → Maasai Mara, Kenya
Transfer back to the airstrip and connect by flight into Kenya’s Maasai Mara (via Entebbe). Arrive at your luxury tented camp. Afternoon game drive across golden savannahs alive with wildlife.

Day 6 – Maasai Mara Safari
Sunrise over the Mara plains. Lions on the move, elephants at the river, cheetahs stalking the horizon. Spend the day exploring with expert guides, returning to camp as lanterns flicker under the African night sky.

Day 7 – Maasai Mara Safari
A full day of game drives or optional hot-air balloon safari (at dawn, followed by champagne breakfast in the bush). Seek out the Big Five and, if timed with the migration, watch wildebeest and zebra surge across the Mara River.

Day 8 – Maasai Mara Safari
Another day to go deeper or perhaps focus on birdlife, hyena dens, or hidden corners where leopards linger in the trees. Every drive is different; every encounter adds to the story of your safari.

Day 9 – Maasai Mara → Nairobi → Departure
Morning flight from the Mara to Nairobi Wilson Airport. Private transfer to Nairobi International for your onward flight home.
